CABARET HEARTBREAK
A cabaret evening for anyone whose heart has ever been broken – by love, history, politics, institutions, the nation, art or hope. Blending performance, drag, dance, music, poetry and political absurdity, Berlin-based artists come together in the “Vessel of Love”. In the face of cynicism, isolation and exhaustion, “Cabaret Heartbreak” draws on wit, joy, glamour, defiance and radical tenderness.
In a present where despair increasingly shapes our political and emotional realities, the stage becomes a temporary refuge: a space to laugh, mourn, fantasise and scream together – and to remain side by side just a little longer.
Werner Hirsch aka Antonia Baehr, explores the scream as sound and form, rhythm and gesture.
